The Building Division will be closed December 25th, for the Christmas Day holiday and January 1st, for the New Year's Day holiday.

Important: Effective December 31, 2020 at 12:01 am, the new Florida Building Code 2020 will go into effect.

Note, SCC Chapter 40, Appendix A 105.3 - Application for permit: Each application shall be inscribed with the date of application and the code in effect as of that date.

Therefore, all permit applications must be dated and if received on or after December 31, 2020 will be required to meet the new code requirements.

The Building Division lobby has returned to normal business hours between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the last sign-in in at 4:30 p.m.  Due to limited staffing there may be longer than normal wait times for walk-in customers. For the safety of customers and staff we encourage our customers to wear masks while being assisted by staff.  The Building Division will supply a mask if you do not have one.
